ARRIVAL IN VENICE FOR A THREE WEEK STAY

I have been anticipating this return trip to Venice for three years.  I'm staying at the same house, so it is like going home! So, here are some pictures of my arrival.  

On The Orange Line....easy transfer from Marco Polo Airport to anywhere on the island.  Of course, if you want to spend the money, a water taxi is pretty cool!  I usually travel by the Orange Line arriving and water taxi leaving.  

The Ferry ride down the Grand Canal to my stop in Dorsoduro!  I'm so happy I got to see this HANDS Art installation!

They have made some changes at the Airport since 3 years ago. They now have an enclosed walkway that takes you to where all the different Ferries are & Water Taxis.  Very easy to navigate.

One of the great things I love about Venice is it's contemporary Art.  Yes,  you can see all the classics, but I am into Contemporary Art & am in heaven.  The Peggy Guggenheim Art Museum is Fabulous.

MAIORI IMPRESSIONS CONTINUED ...MARKET DAY

The end of week #2 in Maiori and I definitely have a routine.  It seems the one thing I am having difficulty adjusting to is the four hour Siesta everyday!  Since I'm not a morning person, my favorite shopping time does not coincide with the Town Schedule!  However, I did make sure I went to the Friday Market!

AND EXPLORING another Street

Today was laundry day....no washer, but keeping up on hand laundry.  And since tomorrow will be sunny and warm, my laundry is washed and pre-drying to be hung out on the sun terrace in the morning.

Meanwhile, I found a new street to explore.  Via Nuova Chiunzi.  More of a neighborhood street with small local hangouts, another Netto Supermercato, 2 flower shops and lots of homes.  Enjoy!

The Fruits of My Trek from Maiori to Minori!

It was worth venturing on the Amalfi Coast road to see a really charming small village MINORI!  However, I did return to Maiori via the Ferry....a lovely 5 minute trip.  Here are my pictures taken that afternoon.
